“MITACS puts together all those people and we can come and make links. This interdisciplinary connection provides a platform that you can’t get anywhere else.  For people doing their PhD, it’s the only place to get recognition and really belong – it’s the only place I’ve found to really meet people in other disciplines.  MITACS is very important to me!”  -- Catherine Beauchemin, University of Alberta

MITACS events have been designed with one common purpose - to bring together partner organizations in the academic, public, private and not-for-profit sectors with university researchers to generate solutions. From single day workshops and seminars to multi-day summer schools, theme meetings and conferences, MITACS provides the opportunity for researchers to network with their peers and to interact with their partner groups.

We encourage and support events in industrial mathematics. Please contact John Stockie, Associate Scientific Director for detailed information on how MITACS can support your event.
